Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Doravino does with personal information when you browse doravino.com, place an order, or write to us. It describes what actually happens rather than the widest set of rights we could claim.

1. What we collect

Three kinds of information reach us.

• What you give us: your name, email address, telephone number, and the shipping and billing addresses attached to an order. If you contact support, the content of that message, including any photographs sent with a return request.
• What your orders generate: the products purchased, the order number, the delivery status, and any return or refund attached to it.
• What is collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URLs and timestamps. This arrives through cookies and similar technologies rather than being typed in by you.

2. Payment information

Payments are handled by Shopify Payments in line with PCI-DSS standards. Full card numbers and payment credentials go straight to the processor and are never stored on our systems. What reaches us is limited to what is needed to match a payment to an order: the method used, the result, and the last digits of the card.

3. Why we use it

• To take, fulfil, ship and, where necessary, refund your order.
• To answer your questions and keep a record of what was agreed.
• To detect and prevent fraud and unauthorised transactions.
• To see which parts of the site work and repair the parts that do not.
• To meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
• To send marketing messages, but only if you asked for them and only until you opt out, which you can do from any such message.

4. Who else sees it

Personal information is shared with the third-party services that make the shop function, and with each of them only to the extent they need:

• Our e-commerce platform, which hosts the storefront and the order records.
• Shopify Payments and any other payment provider you select at checkout.
• Shipping carriers, which receive the delivery address and contact details so that the parcel can arrive.
• Analytics providers, which receive usage data about the site.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, such as a court order, a regulatory request or a valid legal process, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, our property or the safety of a person.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie keeps the cart working between pages, remembers a preference, and lets us count traffic so we can tell which pages are actually read. Your browser settings control them and you may block or delete them at any time, with the caveat that switching off the functional ones will break parts of the checkout.

6. How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as they are needed to support the order, honour the return window, and satisfy tax and accounting rules. Support correspondence is kept while it remains relevant to a query or a dispute. Usage data is retained in aggregate. When information is no longer needed for any of these purposes it is securely deleted or anonymised.

7. Security

Traffic between your browser and this site is encrypted with SSL/TLS, and access to order data is restricted to the people who need it to do their work. Administrative, technical and physical safeguards protect the systems we control. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise; what we can promise is that we do not keep what we do not need.

8. Your rights and choices

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask for it to be corrected where it is wrong or out of date.
• Ask for it to be deleted, subject to records we are legally required to retain.
• Withdraw consent to marketing at any time, through an unsubscribe link or by writing to us.

Write to support@doravino.com to exercise any of these. We may need to verify your identity first, so that nobody else can make a request in your name.

9. California residents (CCPA)

If you live in California you additionally have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you, the right to have that information deleted subject to legal exceptions, the right to opt out of a sale of personal information, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising any of them. We do not sell personal information; if that ever changes, a clear opt-out will be published here first. To make a request, email support@doravino.com with CCPA Request in the subject line.

10. Children

This shop is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. In line with COPPA we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and it will be deleted promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version is posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use doravino.com after a change is posted means you accept it, so it is worth glancing at this page from time to time.
